  15.      _c_m_s_s_g_i_2_j_p_g converts an SGI image file into a JPEG compliant JFIF image
  16.      file and preserves the embedded ICC device profile if one is present. The
  17.      compression level can be set from the command line. The resulting image
  18.      file is written to the same directory as the original, with the extension
  19.      changed to ._j_p_g.

  22.      _c_m_s_s_g_i_2_j_p_g supports the following command line options:

  24.      _----_qqqq _q_u_a_l_i_t_y
  25.                Specifies the quality level required for the resulting image.
  26.                (This may be thought of as the inverse of the compression
  27.                level.) The legal range is 0-100.  Smaller quality levels
  28.                smaller resulting images, but sacrifice image quality.  The
  29.                default value is 75.  _iiii_mmmm_aaaa_gggg_eeee______ffff_iiii_llll_eeee The original image file, which
  30.                must be in the SGI image file format. This format is typically
  31.                indicated by the file extension _...._rrrr_gggg_bbbb or _...._ssss_gggg_iiii.

  34.      The following are error conditions:

  36.      +o    the specified image file can not be opened for reading;
  37.  
  38.      +o    the specified image file is not a SGI image file;
  39.  
  40.      It is not an error for the file to be lacking an ICC profile tag, but
  41.      none will appear in the resulting image file.
